With the news that Obama has declared a national emergency came the realization that the Constitution is now officially null and void. A couple years ago that may have frightened me. It still does make me worried, but I am not completely overwhelmed. I understand things better, and I now realize that even if Obama burns the Constitution, literally or symbolically, it doesn’t make one bit of difference. The Constitution doesn’t give me one right, not one single right. The Constitution limits government, but doesn’t give any rights. It is meant to protect people from the government, but it doesn’t grant any rights. What does that mean? It means that no matter what Obama does, we have the right to life, liberty, and property. And what will I say when they come knocking at my door? “Give me liberty or give me death!”

Gubernatorial Candidates Forum, November 14^th (see note below)
Join us for a discussion with some of the candidates running for the governor’s seat. If you want to make an educated decision at the polls in February, this is a great way to meet the candidates and ask questions about issues that are important to you. Very important: We may be moving the date to November 14^th, so please watch for more details.

We now have 60 members and 5 coordinators in Winnebago County. In Illinois there are 7,357 members, and 99 coordinators.  If you have not yet joined the Campaign for Liberty, you can do so at www.campaignforliberty.com. Please consider becoming a local coordinator in your area. The training that Campaign for Liberty provides for coordinators is some of the best of any similar grassroots organizations, and, the more coordinators we have, the easier it will be for each one. All it takes is a passion for liberty…will you do it?

We need volunteers to help promote our upcoming candidates forum. It can be as difficult as creating and sending out press releases to all local media…or as easy as putting a flier on a restaurant bulletin board. To make this event successful, we need to let everybody in the Rockford area know about it. Email me if you’d like to help out.

We are also interested in holding Constitutional Classes this winter, using Michael Badnarik’s 8-hour DVD lectures, meeting perhaps every other week for about an hour and a half. I recently went through this course, and it changed the way I look at government, history, and individual rights. If you are at all interested in this, please let me know because we need to know how many people would like to attend this in order to find a location and time that works for most people.

Urgent Healthcare Action!

Today, October 20^th, the continuation of Obama’s presidential campaign, the organization Organizing for America is asking government healthcare supporters to call their senators and representatives. They are hoping for over 100,000 calls today that will bombard the phone lines. We need to counter this plan and call our senators urging them to oppose a government takeover of healthcare. We need to make our voices heard as well. Please call our senators and tell them that you do not want the government interfering in the healthcare system. That is all it takes. You don’t have to explain why, just say you oppose it.

Audit the Fed

Neither of our senators, Sen. Durbin and Sen. Burris, have cosponsored S. 604, the Senate bill to audit the Federal Reserve. Please continue to call their offices and tell them how important transparency is to America.

H.R. 1207, the House bill to audit the Federal Reserve, now has 303 cosponsors, and S. 604 has 30 cosponsors.

Illinois Corruption and the “Put-Back Amendment”
As anyone who lives in Illinois knows, Springfield is corrupted by Chicago politics. Well, one man is trying to solve this problem and would like to propose the “Put-Back Amendment” that would do just that—put government back in its place and end the “back room dealings of the General Assembly.” The author of this bill, John Bambenek, needs help collecting the 500,000 signatures required to put this amendment on the ballot in 2010. I was slightly amused and highly incensed in watching the national news (I am not sure which one, they’re all the same) tonight to hear about the new swine flu vaccination plans. Yes, I do watch the news maybe once or twice a week. I find it interesting because it keeps my brain active, I have to keep thinking about the way they present the information, how it makes me feel about the subject, and their huge, albeit subtle, bias. Tonight they were explaining how it has now been determined that Americans should get two swine flu vaccinations, a few weeks apart, so in case the first one doesn’t kill you, the second one is sure to, oops, I mean, in case the first one doesn’t protect you enough, the second one will. Anyways, the host was saying how he didn’t think the kids would be thrilled about three shots (two swine, one common flu), and then he joked that he figured most adults wouldn’t be too crazy about it either. But the doctor who was with him solemnly reminded him that he would take it anyways, as if implying that it was his duty to take those shots no matter how painful it might be. Frankly, I believe it was a big set up, they did all that on purpose just so the doctor could point out that we need to take these shots, no matter the risk, no matter the pain, it is just our duty. Nice try. I am not buying it. They’ll have to use subliminal propaganda if they want to convince me, maybe do it while I am sleeping like Huxley did in “Brave New World.” I am just hoping there will enough other Americans who won’t buy it either to make a difference.

Now, I am not intending for this to be a place to spout off about the so-called “conspiracy theories” that are now strong possibilities, but I feel I should cover this, just in case somebody reading this doesn’t know it already. And instead of me rewriting what has already been said by an M.D., here it is:

THE SWINE FLU FIASCO

In 1976 I was working in the far north of Australia amongst Aborigines. I observed, in one community of only a few hundred people, when they were given the flu vaccine (probably the Victorian strain but this detail does not really matter because nobody outside a few selected individuals really knows what is in any particular batch), six men died suddenly soon afterwards. They were not all ‘old’. One was in his early twenties. A few weeks later, in another community I found that individuals with heart or potential heart problems or diabetes were particularly likely to drop dead soon after being given the vaccine.
Obviously, there was a problem with some batches of the flu vaccine.
A few months later I was in America. President Ford had been told by his health advisers that there was going to be a huge epidemic of ‘swine flu’, that this could kill may thousands and the only way to prevent this catastrophe was to vaccinate the entire population of America – every man woman and child – with a specific vaccine.
So the vaccine was manufactured and the biggest vaccination campaign in history was begun. I was concerned because the vaccine could not be properly tested in a short period. None of the recipients would know anything about what they were being injected with and the chances were that many would die suddenly. Furthermore, it was extremely unlikely that an epidemic of swine flu would occur. So I spoke out. At first the newspapers got hold of what I said and headlined, ‘Australian Physician Call It Mass Murder’. Then I appeared on Kathy Crosby’s television program.
Watching that was a man in New York who did not like a gentleman named Gambino the Mafia boss. Gambino was about 70 years old and had a history of heart problems. It was a simple matter to get someone to persuade Gambino to have the flu shot and Gambino obliged by dropping dead. The newspapers got it right when they stated, ‘Mafia Flu Jab Conspiracy’.
People were dropping dead in the buildings where they received their shots. Others became paralyzed. The whole program ground to a halt.
President Ford decided to settle the matter quickly. In front of the whole world, on television, he rolled up his sleeve and ‘had his shot’. I claimed at the time that he was given a ‘dud’ shot and I am certain that this was actually done. Then President Ford invited all the news media men and women who were milling around to line up and have their shots. Only one man volunteered and he happened to be the White House press secretary. All the others refused the invitation.
There was not a single case of swine flu. There never was going to be an epidemic of swine flu. How was it that the world’s most powerful man with the world’s greatest department of health got it all so wrong? No one really knows the answer but what ever it is it is certainly not clean and tidy.
Furthermore, as far as I know I was the only practicing doctor who spoke out against it and warned about almost certain consequences. How was it that a doctor with only basic qualifications and not even the possessor of American citizenship stood out alone? There was at least one researcher, Anthony Morris, who did try to speak out but he was at the time censored and censored very hard.
This, therefore, is a classical example of how only one man got it right and everyone else got it wrong. This is an important consideration because, when the subject of vaccines is discussed the fact that the vast bulk of the medical establishment states that something is so it is not, in reality, necessarily so. If the establishment can get something so vast and important as the swine fiu vaccine campaign so wrong then it is logical to reason that they could also get a lot of other things wrong. At least it gives reasons to doubt what the establishment claims to be fact. If doctors and members of the general public considered this fewer errors would be made and fewer individuals would suffer unnecessarily.
